Junior Software Engineer

Job Description

This is a hands-on software development role working with server-side APIs and client-side interfaces deployed in a cloud environment. In this position, you will be part of a team building scalable services to support web-based applications and mobile devices, as well as building user friendly interfaces. You will create secure, multi-tenant services and supporting infrastructure, including databases and middleware. You will work closely with other teams to identify and meet their needs in a collaborative, agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Implement secure RESTful services supporting a variety of web clients and mobile applications.
  • Responsible for writing unit tests and integrated acceptance tests.
  • Work closely with our build & release engineers to continually verify and deploy new releases.
  • Design and extend MySQL database.

Qualifications

  • Experience designing and building cloud-based APIs.
  • Strong programming skills in NodeJS/Javascript.
  • Experience with AngularJS.
  • Experience with software testing.
  • Familiarity with Test-Driven and Behavior-Driven Development (TDD/BDD).

Senior Software Engineer

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Understanding of asynchronous IO (especially libuv).
  • Understanding of V8 engine, and ability to write native add ons for javascript.
  • Understanding of horizontal scalability, variations of load balancing, failover, and virtualization of servers and network appliances.
  • Experience with deployment of desktop applications on Windows operating system.
  • Understanding and experience with different storage engines and their advantages (such as MyISAM and InnoDB).
  • Experience with database replication (backup purpose, master slave, circular replication, etc).
  • Data warehousing (archival of data for reporting purposes by using either MongoDB or Hadoop with Hive, etc).
  • Strong understanding of Linux kernel, GNU tools, and Linux security model (file system permissions and network filtering).
  • Understanding of SDLC.
  • Team leader (hands on manager) experience.
  • Understanding and support of scrum and waterfall methodologies.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of development experience in Software Development in the healthcare field (not required as we have seen the ability to learn the requirements fairly quickly).
  • Minimum 5 years of development experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Node.JS, AngularJS, Express.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in mobile application space development (iOS and Android).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with C++ and C.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience dealing with highly concurrent and transactional systems.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with relational databases (preferably MySQL) on administrative and developer levels.
Information Security Engineer

Job Description

This is a full time role based in our Downtown Hollywood, FL offices. We are looking for an on-site Information Security Engineer. In this role you will be working with a team of Agile developers in a technology start-up environment. The department that this position reports to is responsible for managing Cloud and on premises servers and PCs (Windows / Mac OSX / Linux).

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and manage security tools and systems (IDS, IPS, VPN, WAF, DLP, Anti-Virus, Anti-Malware, honeypots, SEIM, Vulnerability Scanners, Web Proxies, Forensic toolkits, MFA, key management) in a heterogeneous computing environment that spans multiple physical and virtual data centers.
  • Enhance the security posture of internal infrastructure and client-facing systems.
  • Perform security reviews of server / network / web application design within a virtualized environment and ensure compliance.
  • Perform risk assessments, vulnerability management, penetration testing and patch management for Linux, Mac, Windows systems and web applications.
  • Work closely with DevOps and Software Engineering to proactively identify and fix security flaws and vulnerabilities.
  • Identity and access management across rapidly growing number of systems and applications.
  • Detect, investigate and recover from security incidents as well as assisting with incident response plans.
  • Responsible for raising company-wide security awareness and monitoring information security related web sites and newsletters to stay up to date on current attacks and trends.
  • Analyze potential impact of new threats and exploits and communicate risks to relevant business units.
  • Maintaining backend assets (managing backups, running reports, monitoring).
  • Managing misc. technical assets (Printers / Tablets / etc).
  • Writing Linux automation scripts.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of technical experience in the information security field, preferably in an environment certified and compliant with a globally recognized Security Framework / Information Security Management System (NIST SP 80053, ISO27001, HIPAA, HiTrust, SOX, PCI).
  • Minimum 3 years of technical experience in the systems engineering, network engineering, or software engineering field.
  • Working knowledge of security and operations within AWS/Azure.
  • Advanced knowledge of information systems security concepts and technologies, network architecture, general database concepts, document management, hardware and software troubleshooting, and security tools such as FireEye, Encase and open source alternatives.
  • Strong knowledge of cryptography for data at-rest and data in-transit.
  • Demonstrated experience with systems auditing and monitoring to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Unix/Linux, Mac, and Windows operating systems and OS hardening.
  • Experience automating the administration of systems through scripting and APIs a plus.
  • Demonstrated programming skills in one or more language a plus (Python, Ruby, Bash, PHP, Perl, Java)
  • Strong analytical writing skills to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Experience creating and presenting documentation and management reports.
